Mick was born in Durham and moved to the Island in 1995, starting work with Clerical Medical International shortly after arriving here. After a number of years with CMI Mick accepted a role with Britannia International as their Ramsey Branch Manager.
In 2000 Mick had the opportunity to take a career-break to fulfill a lifetime ambition of travelling the world; so he took seven months out to do exactly that and visited the USA, South Pacific, Australia and traveled extensively around South East Asia.
After returning Mick took a position as Team-Manager back at CMI where he was responsible for managing the teams which serviced CMI's legacy book of business. It was during this time that Mick embarked on the financial planning qualifications, which he successfully completed in 2007.
In 2004 Mick accepted a position at IoM Post in the Sales and Marketing department where he gained experience within a busy sales environment.
When Mick isn't in the office or studying for further exams he enjoys badminton and mountain biking as well as trying, usually unsuccessfully, to stay out of the pub.
